Descend a staircase into a prehistoric underground cavern and dive crystal-clear 72°F water inside a 120-foot-wide dry cave. Devil's Den is a karst window — an underground spring accessed through the roof of an ancient cave shaped like an inverted mushroom. Ancient stalactites hang overhead and fossil beds dating back 33 million years line the walls. Pleistocene-era fossils discovered here are now displayed at the University of Florida's Museum of Natural History.
