Summer 2026 - Beautiful Moments
Three months, a lot of tanks, and one camera that never stayed on the boat. This is the summer of 2026 in 101 frames, a good share of them Jessica's.
The sharks carried the season. Off Jupiter the lemon sharks came in close on nearly every drop, often with more sharks in view than divers, and the group learned to kneel in the sand and let them do the circling. Reef sharks worked the ledges on the reef dives, a nurse shark yawned at the camera, and a goliath grouper the size of a small couch parked itself next to the group like it had booked a spot.
In between, the quieter stuff. Turtles on the reef, one tucked under a ledge and one that let a diver hover above it. Angelfish, a lionfish, a barracuda just under the surface, and the macro life at the Blue Heron Bridge: a banded coral shrimp, a scrawled filefish, a spiny lobster backing into its hole. The Spiegel Grove got its hatch photos and its flag photos, the way it always does.
And the new faces. A classroom with the shop dog underfoot, first breaths in the BluWave pool, the youngest diver of the summer grinning over the edge of the deck. Boat mornings at the marina with the flag out, matching suits at the Devil's Den gate, tanks lined up on the dock. Beautiful moments, every one of them earned.
